PG Central Chapter Kickoff for 2006
PGC held a group leader up meeting on 8 Jan to announce chapter goals for the year: 100 new members, double World Tribune subscriptions, study Human Revolution Chapter 10 and split into three chapters.. There might be more but, as far as I know, this stuff isn’t published anywhere.
The one hundred new members should be 80 gohonzon conferrals and the rest members coming back from the temple or refound members who had quit practicing. Doubling the WT subscription rate would be made easier if the lousy distribution could be improved. The HR Chapter 10 describes the famous Kansai campaign resulting in over 11,000 new members.
A suggestion to rename PG Central to PG Kansai received a lukewarm response. It was said that the guidance is to create the American SGI, not pattern our organization after that in Japan.
The chapter chief and my district chief did not attend.
